About Team St.Jean

Meet Connor St. Jean
If you had met me growing up, you would have never guessed I’d become a professional bodybuilder.
When I was 17, I drove from Prince Edward Island to the St. Francis Xavier football camp. Back home on the island, hardly known as a football powerhouse,I thought I was doing just fine.
That illusion died Friday afternoon
Surrounded by recruits eyeing college rosters, the gap wasn’t just wide, it was embarrassing. During the opening conditioning drills, I wasn’t just trailing; I was dead last, completely out of sync, gasping for air on the turf.
Saturday was worse. Three brutal sessions of contact and agility. In one drill, the coaches paired me with the smallest guy on the field. The whistle blew, we collided, and he blew straight through me like I wasn't even there.
By Sunday, my body was in absolute revolt. Every joint throbbed, my legs ached, and during the scrimmage, a coach barked in my face for "not giving enough effort." The truth? I was giving everything I had, and I was still failing. I stood on the sideline, watching the naturally gifted athletes get praised.
Monday morning my body was so sore, I had to call in sick to work.
Submerged in my third hot bath of the day, staring at the ceiling, the harsh truth hit me: I had zero genetic gifts.
But sitting in that water, the pity party shifted into something else. I asked myself an honest question: Did you actually prepare for this? Or did you just expect your natural ability to carry you?
I realized genetics might dictate where you start, but they don't get the final say on where you finish. I wasn't born with explosive speed or natural size, which meant if I wanted to transform my physique and win, I couldn't rely on luck. I had to master the science, build the discipline, and outwork everyone else.
Over the last decade, going from that uncoordinated kid to winning my WNBF pro card and professional titles taught me a powerful truth:
Building an extraordinary physique isn't reserved for elite genetics. It’s a skill and like any skill, it can be learned.
That’s why I don’t coach lifelong athletes. I coach ordinary people who admire bodybuilding from a distance but feel they “aren’t built for it.”
Anyone can hand you a generic workout program. My job is to teach you how to master every movement so the target muscle actually does the work.
How we transform your physique:
-
Weekly Video Mechanics Reviews: We analyze your lift execution frame-by-frame to eliminate wasted effort and maximize muscle tension.
-
Individualized Movement Design: We refine your mechanics so every single set triggers maximum growth safely.
-
Autonomy & Mastery: I don't just tell you what to do,I teach you why it works, turning you into your own best coach.
